GILATBC Delivery & Shipping Policy

Effective Date: September 7, 2026 · Version: 1.0

GILATBC is a marketplace. Each seller sets their own delivery options and rates, and the rate that applies to your order is calculated from that seller's shipping template and the delivery address you choose. This page explains how that works, what it costs, how long it takes, and what happens when something goes wrong.

Where We Deliver

GILATBC serves buyers in Nigeria, and in the additional countries a seller has enabled on their listing. Coverage is set per seller and per route, so it varies by item:

  • Set your delivery location before you browse. Listings that cannot reach that location are filtered out, so what you see is what can actually reach you.
  • On a product, service or tailoring page, the delivery options and price for your saved location are shown before you add to cart.
  • Where a seller has not configured delivery to your location, the listing says so rather than letting you pay for something that cannot be shipped.

Delivery Options

  • Door delivery — a courier brings the order to the address on your order.
  • Store pickup — you collect from the seller's pickup address. Pickup addresses appear on the listing and again at checkout.
  • In-person services — the provider attends your address, or you attend theirs, as set on the service listing.
  • Remote and digital services — delivered online. No shipping applies.

Shipping Cost

Shipping is charged per order and is shown before you pay. It is never added afterwards.

  • Each seller configures shipping templates with rates per route, for example Lagos → Lagos or Lagos → Abuja. The rate for your route is calculated once you set your delivery location, and is displayed on the listing and in the cart.
  • An order containing items from more than one seller ships separately and is charged each seller's rate.
  • Store pickup is free.
  • Where a seller offers free delivery above an order value, the threshold is shown on the listing.
  • Import duties and customs charges on international routes, where they apply, are payable by you and are not collected by GILATBC.

Handling And Delivery Times

Every order carries an Estimated Delivery Date (EDD), shown before you pay and on the order under My Orders. The EDD combines the seller's handling time with the courier's transit time for your route.

  • Typical handling time is 1–3 business days before dispatch. Made-to-order and tailored items take longer; the completion time is stated on the listing before you order.
  • Typical transit is 1–3 business days within the same state, and 3–7 business days between states in Nigeria. International routes take longer and vary by destination.
  • You are notified when the seller marks the order as shipped.
  • EDDs are estimates. GILATBC is not liable for delays caused by couriers, customs, weather or other events outside our control — but a missed EDD is exactly what the buyer protection window is for.

Tracking Your Order

Track any order from My Orders on gilatbc.com, or by asking the GILATBC assistant on WhatsApp, Telegram or Instagram. You are notified at dispatch, and again when delivery is confirmed.

If Your Order Does Not Arrive

If the EDD passes and your order has not arrived, file a claim from My Orders before the buyer protection window closes — 7 days after the EDD. The seller must show proof of delivery, or the order is refunded. The full process, including what a refund costs, is in our Returns & Refunds Policy at gilatbc.com/returns.

Incorrect Addresses And Failed Deliveries

  • Check your delivery address before you pay. A courier that cannot reach the address you supplied will usually return the parcel to the seller, and the return leg is charged to you.
  • Addresses cannot be changed once the seller has dispatched an order. Before dispatch, contact the seller through in-app chat.
  • Where a delivery fails because nobody was available to receive it, the courier's re-delivery terms apply.
