Answers to what people ask most about buying, selling, payment and delivery on GILATBC.
Finding things, and getting them to your door.
Yes — an account is needed to place an order, because every order has to be attached to a delivery address and an order history you can come back to. You can create one with Google in a single tap, or with an email address and password.
Set your country and delivery address in your profile, and every product page will show the delivery cost to you before you add anything to your basket. Sellers who have not set up shipping to your area are marked on the listing rather than at checkout.
Each business sets its own shipping rates by destination, service level and weight. When your basket contains items from more than one business, each one's delivery is quoted separately and shown as its own line at checkout.
Yes. Your basket can hold items from several businesses and you pay once. Behind the scenes each business receives its own portion of the order and fulfils it separately, which is why you may receive more than one delivery.
It is the seller's actual remaining stock, read live when the page loads, and it only appears for items that track sizes or colours. We do not show countdowns or scarcity messages that are not backed by real inventory.
How money moves, and when.
Card, bank transfer and USSD through Flutterwave, plus your GILATBC wallet balance and any store credit you hold. At checkout these combine automatically: store credit is used first because it expires, then your wallet, then your card pays whatever is left — which is often nothing.
Yes. Payments for an order are held in escrow and are only released to the seller after the order is completed, which is what protects you if something goes wrong.
Your wallet holds money you topped up. Store credit is promotional value the platform granted you — for example a referral reward — and it expires, may require a minimum order, and cannot be converted into money. Both can only be spent on GILATBC.
No. The wallet is for buying on GILATBC and there is no withdrawal path at all. If an order you paid for by card is refunded, the refund goes back to the card you paid with, not into the wallet.
You were not. If your wallet and credit cover the whole order, no card charge is created and the order settles instantly. A card charge only appears when there is a genuine remainder, and it is never created for an amount below the payment provider's minimum.
Tracking, timing and collection.
Open your dashboard and go to your orders. Each item shows its current stage, the estimated delivery date the seller committed to, and a tracking reference once the seller has dispatched it.
Where a business offers pickup, you will see it as an option at checkout along with the collection address and the times it is available. You receive a pickup code to present when you collect.
Sellers commit to a dispatch deadline when they accept an order. If an item passes it, it is flagged as delayed and you can raise a claim from the order without waiting for the seller.
When an order does not go the way it should.
Open the order in your dashboard and raise a claim on the item concerned. Claims are reviewed by the platform rather than decided by the seller alone, and the escrow hold means the money is still on the platform while that happens.
Back to wherever it came from. The card portion of an order is refunded to that card, the wallet portion returns to your wallet, and any store credit used is granted back as store credit. If an order was paid for from more than one of these, the refund is split in the same proportion.
Once processed, it is with your bank rather than with us, and banks typically take a few working days. If a card refund fails for any reason, the claim stays open and visible until it is completed — it is never quietly converted into store credit.
Registering a business and getting paid.
Registration is free. The platform takes a percentage of each completed sale; the current rate is shown live on the seller registration page rather than quoted here, so it can never go stale.
Applications are usually reviewed within 24 hours. You can track the status of your application from the business page at any time.
Because a listing nobody can buy is worse than no listing. A business needs at least one enabled shipping template with at least one rate before it can publish products or tailoring listings — that guarantees every buyer who reaches your listing can actually check out.
Payouts are scheduled automatically once an order completes and the escrow hold is released, and are transferred to the settlement account on your business profile. Payouts for an item that has been refunded are cancelled rather than paid.
Inviting people, and what you both get.
Share your personal invite link. When someone signs up through it they receive store credit toward their first order, and you receive credit once that order is actually paid for. Referring a business that becomes active and makes its first sale earns a larger reward.
Rewards are released when the person you invited completes a paid order above the minimum, not when they sign up. Until then the referral shows as pending on your Invite & Earn tab, which also re-checks itself every time you open it.
Yes. Every grant carries an expiry date and a minimum order value, both shown on the credit itself. At checkout the credit closest to expiring is always spent first, so you never lose value you could have used.
Signing in, and keeping the account yours.
Use the 'Forgot password' flow with the same email address. That adds a password to the account without removing Google sign-in; afterwards either method works.
Yes. Signing in with Google using the same, verified email address links the two automatically, and your password keeps working.
Google reports whether it has verified the email address on an account, and we only link accounts on a verified address. If yours is unverified, verify it with Google or sign in with an email and password instead.
From your profile. A verification code is sent to the new address and the change only takes effect once you enter it, so an address you do not control can never be attached to your account.
If your question is about a specific order, open it from your dashboard — most issues can be raised as a claim directly on the order, which keeps the payment held while it is reviewed. Otherwise, reach a person here.
